Hardware Electronics Engineer
Bangalore
Role Overview
Design the boards behind our connected products — schematic, layout, bring-up and debug — and be the person who gets a prototype working by Friday.
Responsibilities
Design schematics for connected consumer products — power, sensing, wireless, interface — and own the component selection behind them
Lay out multi-layer PCBs with proper attention to grounding, decoupling, impedance, EMI and manufacturability
Bring up new boards and debug them to a working state, with a scope, a logic analyser and a method
Write enough embedded code to validate your hardware, then hand over cleanly to firmware
Build test rigs and harnesses so board validation is a repeatable sequence rather than an improvisation each time
Work with mechanical and industrial design on board outline, connector placement, antenna keep-outs and thermal paths — early, not after the enclosure is fixed
Manage fab and assembly vendors: BOM, gerbers, pick-and-place files, DFM feedback, first article review
Document every board you own — schematic revision, BOM, pin map, flashing procedure, known issues — to a standard a stranger could work from
Support products through EMC pre-scan and certification, and act on what the scan finds
Requirements
3–6 years designing electronics for products that were built, not just prototyped on a dev board
Strong schematic and PCB layout ability in a professional tool — Altium, KiCad, OrCAD or Eagle — including multi-layer boards
Demonstrable bring-up and debug skill: you can describe the hardest bug you found and exactly how you found it
Comfortable with embedded C at the register level, enough to prove a peripheral works
Hands-on with the bench — soldering, rework down to fine-pitch parts, scope, logic analyser, bench supply
You have worked with a fab or assembly house and dealt with their DFM feedback
Something you built for yourself, outside work, that you can show us
Based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate; this is a bench job and it is on-site
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in electronics, electrical, instrumentation or communications engineering
Low-power or battery-powered product experience — power budgets, sleep modes, charging
Exposure to EMC, radio or safety certification, in India or internationally
Experience with sensor integration, analog signal conditioning, or RF layout inside a difficult enclosure
